JEE ADVANCED 2017 Important Dates

The important dates for JEE ADVANCED 2017 have been announced by Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.  These dates include schedule of application form, admit card, entrance exam, answer key, result, seat allotment and counselling.

JoSAA 2017 Important Dates:


In 2015, JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) was formed which is the conducting body for joint seat allocation through JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced 2017 qualified candidates will be given admissions in IITs and ISM Dhanbad. All the important dates (tentative) regarding counselling and seat allocation can be checked below-

JEE Advanced is the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the common entrance examination for engineering admissions to prestigious IITs and ISM, Dhanbad. Only candidates, who will qualify JEE Main, are eligible to appear for this national level entrance exam.

JEE MAINS 2017 IMPORTANT DATES

The JEE Mains 2017 ( Joint Entrance Examination Mains 2017) is going to be conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education .  The applicants who wants to get  admissions into Engineering ( B.E / B.Tech ) courses will have to appear in Paper-I and the applicants who wants to get admission into architecture ( B. Arch / B.Planning) courses will have to appear for Paper-II.  Lakhs of students appear for this exam every year to get admission into 31 NITs, 18 IIITs and 18 GFTs.  The complete details of JEE Main 2017 are given below.

  • The mode of exam for JEE Main 2017  Paper-I  :  Offline / Online
  • The exam mode for JEE Main 2017 Paper-II :  Offline 

  • Total number of seats in JEE Main 2017 :  30,000
  • Age Limit:  The applicant should not be born before 1st October, 1992
  • Educational Qualification : 12th class pass with Maths, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Bio Technology, One language and any other subject with 75% marks aggregate
  • Year of appearance for Class 12th or Equivalent Examination :  Only those applicants, who have passed their Class 12th exam or any other equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016;  or those applicants who are appearing in their 12th Class exam i 2017 are eligible to appear for JEE Main 2017.
  • Number of subjects in Class 12th :  Applicants must have taken at least five subjects in their 12th class Examination
  • Number of Attempts :  Applicants can make only three attempts for JEE Main.

How to apply for JEE Main 2017 :   

The interested and eligible candidates can apply for Joint Entrance Exam Main 2017 only through online mode at the official website of Joint Entrance Examination Main ( www.jeemain.nic.in) .  The online application will be available from 1st Week of December, 2016..
