AIPMT 2016 EXTRANCE EXAM DETILS

CBSE will conduct All India Pre Medical/ Pre Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) 2016 on 1st May, 2016  for admission to as many as 3500 MBBS and BDS seats in government medical and dental colleges of India except institutions in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.   AIPMT 2016 will be conducted in pen & paper mode at various designated exam centres across India for undergraduate medical and dental seats under 15% All India Quota.  In this article, you can  get a complete set of information about AIPMT 2016 medical entrance exam such as its exam pattern, application form details, exam dates, eligibility criteria, seats & reservation, admit card, results, important dates.

AIPMT 2016 Eligibility: Candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements at the time of applying for AIPMT 2016. The highlights of AIPMT 2016 eligibility which includes educational qualifications and age criteria is mentioned below.

Age Requirement:
  • Age Limit – Applicant must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2016. The age limit is 25 years for general and 30 years for SC / ST / OBC category candidates
  • Candidate must born on or between:
    (a) 01/01/87 to 01/01/2000 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
    (b) 01/01/92 to 01/01/2000 (Other Category)
  • Nationality – Candidates must be Indian nationals. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are also eligible for appearing in AIPMT 2016
Educational qualification:
  • Candidates must have appeared or will be appearing in 2016 for class 10+2 or equivalent exam. The candidate must appear and qualify the class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology (PCB) Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)
  • Candidate must secured at least 50% marks in PCB or 45% (General PH) or 40% (SC / ST / OBC)
  • Applicants has passed the B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that they has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

AIPMT 2016 Application ProcedureThe online registration of AIPMT 2016 will begin tentatively in the month of December, 2015. Candidates can fill the AIPMT 2016 application form in online mode and no any other mode of application form filling will be accepted.  Candidates are advised to read the prospectus carefully to ascertain their eligibility, application procedure before beginning the online registration of AIPMT 2016. Basically, the registration is a 4 stage procedure. The first stage is registration for the exam where candidates can fill in the on-line application and obtain the registration number. Upload images of photograph and signature in JPEG format as prescribed dimensions at stage 2. Next stage is making payment for the exam through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking or Bank Challan. At stage 4, candidates have to send the print out of AIPMT 2016 application confirmation page of online application format to CBSE and copy of proof of fee deposited (if fee is deposited through Challan mode).

How to Submit the AIPMT 2016 Application Form
  • The AIPMT admission brochure and application form will be available in the month of December

  • Before applying candidates are advised to read eligibility criteria as required in AIPMT
  • The candidates not satisfying the instruction as given in the  AIPMT information brochure will be disqualified
  • The candidates must keep the following documents for the further communication in case any discrepancy:
  • 3 printouts of the confirmation page of online application
  • Fee paid proof for having the fee payment detail
  • 2-3 copies of identical photos as uploaded in the application form
  • Copy of self-declaration in case of students belong to AP, J&K and Telangana and applied for 15% all India quota seats
  • Any correction in the AIPMT 20156 online application form will be done through the AIPMT official website
  • Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. I n case candidates fill more than one application form their candidature will be rejected
  • The candidates must choose the AIPMT 2016 and language of the exam paper while applying as it will not be allowed after the submission of application form

AIPMT 2016 ADMIT CARDS 

will be available to download tentatively from the month of April. To download admit card candidates have to enter their exam registration number and password. The admit card is an important documents which will have candidate’s detail  like their exam roll number, category, photograph, signature, name and address of the allotted exam centre, etc. Without the admit card candidates will not allowed to take test. The AIPMT 2016 admit card must be preserved by candidates till the completion of admission process as it will required at the time of counselling and admission process for identity verification. Candidates are advised check all the entries in the admit card. In case of any discrepancy, candidate should immediately inform the exam conducting authority.
Exam Day Guideline: Candidates are advised to reach their exam centre at least 1 hour before the commencement of exam. Examination Hall will be opened 45 minutes before the commencement of the test. Candidates are advised not to carry any textual or digital materials to the examination hall otherwise they shall be deemed to have used unfair practices at examination and marked as UNFAIRMEANS (U.F.M.). Such candidates would be debarred from taking this examination permanently in future and shall also be liable for criminal action and /or any other action as deem fit by the Board.
What to carry during AIPMT 2016 Exam - Candidates have to carry their AIPMT 2016 Admit card which have pasted postcard size photograph in the given performa. The passport size photograph affixed in the admit card must be duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/Head of the Institution. Candidates will also have to bring one passport size photograph for affixing on the attendance sheet. The stationary items required during the test will be provided by the exam authorities itself.  The pen for marking in OMR sheet will be provided at the center.
AIPMT 2016 Answer Key: Candidates can download the answer key soon after the conclusion of entrance test. AIPMT 2016 answer key will be released by various medical coaching institutes like Aakash, Alllen, Carrer Point, Bansal etc. With of downloaded answer key candidates can know their marks based on the marked response. Based on the evaluated marks candidates can figure out their total score and know their probable all India rank in AIPMT 2016 with the help of rank predictor.
CBSE will also release official answer key of AIPMT 2016 before the declaration of result. Candidates can challenge any questions or answer of AIPMT through a given prescribed format. They also have to submit the requisite fee for challenging. The fee will be refunded to candidates if examination authority finds challenge is valid and true. 

Qualifying Marks: Candidates have to score a minimum marks as prescribed by the examination authority CBSE to qualify the entrance exam. The graph below shows category wise AIPMT 2016 qualifying mark.

Last year, AIPMT was cancelled by the Supreme Court of India because of adverse impact on the exam and evaluation process due to 'answer key leak' during exam which was conducted on May 3. The Apex Court has annulled the All India Pre- Medical Entrance Exam after taking into account the petitions filed by parents as well as students demanding re-examination of the coveted medical entrance examination of India. The CBSE had conducted AIPMT retest on July 25 at 1065 exam centres across India.

JEE MAINS 2016 Exam notification and dates

JEE Main 2016, the third Joint Entrance Examination(Main) will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the ministry of human resource development, GOI. The JEE Main 2016 will be conducted the JEE Apex Board for admission to undergraduate Engineering Programs in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. 

For admission to NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) like IIITs etc. and other participating Institutions, the merit/rank list shall be prepared based on 40% weightage to school Boards marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE (Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks shall be considered only after normalization

The number of attempts in such cases will also remain same as per their past practice. This will, however, be obviously not applicable for admission to IITs/NITs/IITs/CFTIs

The aspiring candidates should furnish all the details and upload scanned image of his/her photograph, signature and upload scanned image of his/her photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression while filling up the “Online” Application
Candidates are required to take print out of the computer generated acknowledgement slip after successful submission of data and payment of fee and keep the same in the safe custody for any future reference
Important Note: The entire application process is online, including uploading of photograph and signature and payment of fee the candidates are required NOT to send any document to JEE (Main) Secretarial

JEE MAIN 2016: Application, Exam pattern and eligibility

The JEE Main 2016 is a national level entrance examination for admission to Engineering and technical courses offered by various Government, Private and funded institutions including the NITs and IIITs.  The JEE is a two tier exam.  The first stage is JEE Main which is a gateway to B.Tech courses offered by institutes including NITs and IIITs.  The candidate qualified in JEE Main is eligible for JEE Advanced 2016 which is gateway for admission to IITs.

As per the last year details the states as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland & Odisha had participated in JEE Exam. The students seeking the admission in these states are advised to fill the JEE Main 2016 application form through online. These states were earlier admitting on the basis of state level entrance test.

Application Form

Before the application the candidates are suggested to get the Information Bulletin from the official site of the board and read carefully. The JEE Main application form 2016 will be available online only through the official website of the JEE Apex Board in the first week of November 2015. There is no other mode for applying except the online mode. The last date of the application will be on last week of December 2015.

Admissions to undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions, institutes funded state governments, and other institutes shall be done by the performance in Class 12 or equivalent examination and also the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE Main 2015).  The Paper-1 (B.E / B.Tech)  of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced) which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring to the under graduate programmes offered by IITs.  


The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarkhand and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system.  So the candidates seeking admissions to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitted based on their State level examination are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) - 2015 application form online.  The last date for applying was over on 18th December, 2014.   We are giving the detailed JEE (Main ) - 2015 exam schedule and the syllabus here.

The Paper – 2 in all these cities will be conducted on 04/04/2015 from 2.00–5.00 PM (IST) in Pen & Paper Based examination. 









JEE MAIN 2015 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2015 defines the qualification, age limit and the number of attempts allowed to appear for JEE Main 2015 exam.  The admission to IITs and other top engineering colleges depends on the passing out year of the student.  The eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2015 is listed below.

Qualifying Examination for JEE Main 2015 and pass percentage

  • A student must have studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry as the main subjects compulsorily in the Class XII.
  • Candidate must have studied any one of the subjects as optional subjects - Biology, Computer Science or Bio-Technology
  • Minimum percentage to be secured by the candidate in Class XII board exam is 50% in total in Physics, Maths and Chemistry. 

Passing year of the Qualifying Examination

  • The JEE Main 2015 aspirants must have qualified their Class XII or other equivalent examination in the year 2013 or 2014 or students who are appearing in 2015
  • Students must have studied at least 5 subjects in their qualifying examination
  • Students who have just studied 4 subjects are not eligible for JEE  Main 2015
  • Candidates who appeared for Class XII exam in 2012 or before as well as those will appear in 2016 are not eligible for JEE Main 2015
  • Students who appeared for Class XII exam in 2012 and did not clear the test, but qualified in 2013 are not eligible for JEE Main 2015.
  • The candidates willing to appear for improvement exam of class XII in 2015 have to appear in all the 5 subjects as per the scheme of study of concerned board
  • Students should note that in the percentile system, the total marks ( of the 5 subjects) obtained / shown in the mark sheet of a particular year are required in JEE Main as well as in JEE Advanced.  The marks from two different years ( i.e. marks for 3 subjects in 2014 and marks for other 2 subjects from 2015 ) can not be considered for percentile calculation.

Please note that the eligibility for JEE Main 2015 will be defined as per the year in which the candidate who appeared for 12th Class examination.  For example, student who appeared for 12th Class exam in 2010 and did not qualify, but qualified the same in 2011, he/she may not be eligible.

A maximum of 3 attempts are allowed for each student writing JEE Main 2015 examination. No more than 3 attempts are allowed.

Telengana State EAMCET 2015 notification on 25th February, 2015

The EAMCET 2015 Notification for the Telengana State is going to be released on 25th February, 2015.   This is the first time the new Telengana State is conducting the EAMCET examination on its own after the formation of the State in 2014.  

Around 1.8 lakhs  students from Telengana and about 70,000 students from Andhra Pradesh are expected appear for the Telengana EAMCET ( Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test )  - 2015 which is to be conducted by Government of Telengana.   The Andhra Pradesh students may have to write the examination in Hyderabad only.   There are no exam centers in Andhra Pradesh.   But Telengana EAMCET 2015 convener, N.V.Ramana Rao told reporters that they would consider positively if AP Government requests exam centers in their State for the covenience of AP students.  

The admissions will be held in the existing system with 15% unreserved seats open to AP students.  There will be no change in the pattern and scheme of the Telengana EAMCET 2015 examination.  It would remain same as last year.  

The notification for Telengana EAMCET 2015 will be issued on 25th February, 2015 and the examination will be conducted on 14th May, 2015.  The results would be declared on 28th May, 2015.  The applications have to be submitted only online and the website would be open from 28th February,m 2015.   Here are some important dates for Telengana EAMCET 2015.

Hall tickets can be downloaded from 8th May, 2015 to 12th May, 2015.   The Engineering test would be conducted from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM.  Medical test would be conducted from 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM.  The examination fee would be Rs. 250.
